PREVENT DROWNINGS!!!
DROWNING IS ONE OF THE LARGEST CAUSES OF PREVENTABLE DEATH. SO FAR THIS YEAR, FOUR PEOPLE HAVE LOST THEIR LIFE THIS WAY IN AZ, BUT THERE ARE A FEW SAFETY TIPS TO AVOID THIS. IF YOU HAVE A POOL, GET A BARRIER OR A FENCE WITH A SELF-LOCKING GATE, SO THE LITTLE ONES CAN'T JUST RUN IN THE POOL! AND REMEMBER NEVER LEAVE KIDS UNATTENDED NEAR THE WATER EVEN FOR A SECOND, AS WE'VE SEEN WHAT TRAGEDIES THAT LEADS TO! SIGN YOUR KIDS UP FOR WATER SAFETY CLASSES BY CALLING (480)312-POOL(7665).

SENIORS AND STUDENTS
If you're a senior who has some free time and likes helping students, this article is for you. You can tutor grade school students who need a little TLC in the homework area. Louis Wilcox, who has been doing this for a decade, says the kids are sharp they just need "grandparently motivation." If this sounds like something you would like to participate in, please call Recreation Leader Kristen Huber @ (480) 312-5810.
